Small big apartment
“And yet she is ... small!” - My husband and I said this at the same time, barely crossing the threshold of our new, still completely empty apartment.
Now that there are a lot of things in the house and each one has a certain place, we noticed that the four of us get along very well here, and our two weather sons easily find space for games with friends. The apartment seemed to grow with our family. In addition to the kitchen - unfortunately, it has long stopped growing, and a mountain of dirty plates habitually crawled out of the sink onto the countertop after each family dinner.
The dishes in our family are washed by children, it is not surprising that they were the first to talk about buying a dishwasher. I just set an obvious condition: to find a free place in the kitchen stuffed to the eyeballs. The boys hooked up their husband and he grumbled for decency about the need for repairs and the troubles associated with the installation, instantly found a solution:
“Look,” he remarked, “you keep the dishes in the cabinet that are constantly required for cooking.” Why not keep it on the table? ”“ I can’t, because dirty plates are constantly placed on it, ”I said indignantly.“ But all this can be removed in ... ”
! - cried joyful children.
The decision was taken.
The next Saturday, we went to the store and chose the model of the dishwasher, according to the husband’s calculations, ideal for our kitchen. Installing the car was surprisingly easy - she stood up exactly instead of one of the lockers. Perhaps I myself would have dealt with its installation, if my husband and children, keen on a new acquisition, let me in for at least ten minutes. So the husband complained of unpleasant chores in vain.
For a test run, homemade people have accumulated a mountain of dirty dishes. Amazing but
Just shine! Such clean dishes, may the children forgive me, we have never seen! A hopelessly burnt pan was washed, the plates shone, and the glasses (we marked our purchase) sparkled with a completely brilliant brilliance.
I can’t say that the dishwasher has greatly changed our habits, but life has certainly become more interesting. Children, as before, quarrel over whose turn it is to wash the dishes - now everyone wants to load it into the dishwasher. I am slowly mastering the vacant space of a kitchen table that has suddenly become large, and our small, but such a large apartment has become even more comfortable!
