Decorate a chest of drawers
You will need:
• Chest with flat drawers without decoration
• Wallpaper (with any picture you like)
• breadboard knife
• Cardboard sheet
• Adhesive for decoupage
• Sponge brush
• Roller (usually used to level surfaces)
TIP Choose a wallpaper with a small report so that the whole pattern can fit on small surfaces.
Remove the drawers and unscrew the chest of drawers using a screwdriver.
Put the wallpaper on a flat surface, spreading a piece of cardboard under them, with the pattern down. Put the first box on the wallpaper with the facade down, aligning it with one of the edges of the wallpaper to make an even cut. Using a breadboard knife, crop the wallpaper to fit the front of the drawer. Repeat the same with all the drawers.
Turn the drawer upside down. Take the first strip of wallpaper and apply a thin layer of glue along the edge of the wallpaper with a sponge brush. Glue the wallpaper to the drawer, applying glue gradually, from one edge to the other.
Press the special roller firmly and slide it over the entire surface of the still-dry wallpaper, leveling it and getting rid of unwanted bubbles and folds. Pay particular attention to the edges. Leave to dry overnight.
Screw the accessories to the drawers and insert them into their original places.
For this chest of drawers, we picked up a universal black-and-white coloring of the wallpaper, which will fit almost any color of the walls. However, you can choose brighter wallpapers that are in harmony with your interior.
